Writeup- cleaning your fan unit
Guys,
Related to this thread: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/show...hlight=ticking
MTL (Jamie) correctly diagnosed the source of my ticking problem---foreign debris in my interior fan unit.
It gave me a good opportunity to clean out the dirt from the fan blades too. If you have allergies, this may help a little bit.
Here's the write up: http://www.4runners.org/articles/fan
It will take less than 1 hour of your day.

Hey Bob, glad the diagnosis was on the money!
Thanks also for the writeup since I need to do mine too.
When I was putting in my alarm I was astonished at the amount of crap in the ducts!!!!
I mean the walls of the ducts had like a 1/4" in some places.
