Does anyone know if this can be done? I have done a search, but only found stuff about putting it on the 3.4. Any help would be appreciated.

3.0 has an airflow meter (AFM), not a MAF (pretty sure we're talking apples and oranges).
That being said, the AFM from the 7MGE motor "should" work. You can get these from non turbo Supras and Cressidas. See the 3.0 build up thread by Dan.
