sup fellas my 02 tacoma 4x4 auto v6 calls for DEXIII atf fluid.. the newer DEXVI is very available now.. would you guys put dex6 (proven to be far better than dex3 and even tested both together to replace dex3) in a tranny with dex3 in it??? toyota has not and will not back spec a dex fluid bc its really considered another OEM product (esp since they came out with T-atf fluids)........ DEX6 is far superior in every way compared to DEXIII. it meets and excells past DEX3 standards... would you guys use dex6 in a dex3 tranny or would you just upgrade to a synthetic dex3???

supposedly even the dex6 (syn blend) passes the synthetic dex3 also..

You lost me some where along the way but I would use what the book calls for or what my mechanic tells me to use.
