thought id post up my build ive been working on for a couple months. first il start off this is the truck the day i bought er. 89 toyota, 22re, 5 speed, manual hubs etc etc

then the hood release seized and my hood flew up driving down the road and bent the hood hinges. what a job it was just to replace those..

truck needed a new saftey inspection so i took it to the dealership where i work and while underneath the truck we notcied it had the infamous toyota frame rot.. so decided id take the box off and see how bad it was

and it was BADD!

so after learning this i decided it would be better to replace this whole section of frame rather then trying to patch every single hole. so i called up my guy that makes trips to the US and gets corvette parts. said i needed a rear section of frame and might as well get a new box too since mine is bubbly. heres the new box just sitting on the truck to see how it looks

while waiting for the frame to get welded up i came across a parts truck for sale and couldn't pass up the deal. so i went and bought it. came with 35 x 13.5 BFG Krawlers. 4.88 gears. and all kinds of parts!!

had to take it wheelin a bit too. havent had my truck on the road in a couple months!

so still waiting for the frame to be welded, so i decided to start switching the parts from the parts truck over to mine. heres the rear ends turning into one.

all mocked up with new suspension

done ready to go under the truck

tires on lokoing freshh

as she sits today. STILL waiting for the frame to be welded but i guess ya cant do much when its being done for free. also painted the corner lights to match the grill
