Quote: Where did you find the Toyota factory gray paint? My center console is in dire need of a new paint job. I just started a BTTFT restoration myself.

I actually got it locally. All the paint (rattle can) is at my friends house as he has an 85 4Runner and we do the painting together there. I'll get the information on the paint for you and post it next time I go over there. We are having another "paint day" soon.

Stage 2.5 by 22RE Performance
I got my truck back a few weeks ago with the "Stage 2.5" 22RE Performance motor in it. First of all, it looks SHARP. Second, it is really high quality. I've already put 800 miles on it and no problems at all. Finally, the power difference at the low end is definitely noticeable. The top end speed difference is marginal. I get up hills a lot faster now but some steep hills I still see a decline in overall speed. I'll post pics and videos soon.

Here is a link to the "Stage 2.5" 22RE Performance motor if you are interested: http://www.22reperformance.com/22RE_...t_Engines.html

I enjoyed meeting you as well. I got your text the other day and I was asleep as I work the graveyard hours. I will let you know when I get to Springfield the next time. I am always in the shop. Come on down. I always have something going on.

Jted.. You can get interior paint mixed up but being in California it may be harder to find. The shops can take a sample and custom mix it to the color you want. It has to be interior paint or it will look bad and wont last.

Let me know how you like that motor and if you think it was worth the $. I've been emailing thereabouts getting one but I'm waiting for mine to go out first. I've also been toying with doing a diesel swap too.....

Hi,

Sorry to bump an older thread, but I was wondering where the best place to buy one of these trucks these days? Any information would be greatly appreciated!
