I am selling my 87 4runner with all of the mods in my sig. It has a salvage title as it was hit on the dr side fender,NO frame damage! The hood, grill/bumper/fender were replaced. It was one of those things that the insurance company thought was a total loss. I bought it stock and have done all the mods myself and will say that this is the only vehicle that I've ever owned that has been this reliable. We have owned it for about 5 years. I just put in new black carpet and 1,000 watt stereo. My wife and I bought a 99 and we are looking to buy another one so the 87 will have to go. I just herculined the bottom 1 1/2" of it. The engine has about 9,000 miles on it, the tranny and clutch have about 3,000 miles on them, the gears have about 2,000 miles on them. I want $5,500 obo.

Wow, that is one sick ride I wish I had 6k! That engine combined the marlin tranny must move. 6k is a good deal. Way better than the stock 86 that surfersr5 is trying to get 5k for on here. Good luck with the sale!

It's about as fast as my 99 with the 3.4 in it.

Yeah, I had a Marlin HD W56 transmission in a stock 86 4Runner I had and it was stout to say the least

My wife wouldn't mind having a civic. Are you serious or just joking around? Any pics?

I think its a good starting point. The engine and body look awesome...I wish the interior was another color...which I think maybe is what other people think as well. With people getting their income tax checks soon, you'll probably start generating intrest.

I may need another vehicak soon...

I would like to personally throttle whoever at Toyota thought red would make a good interior. That is a beautiful truck, but I 'd have to factor in the cost of a replacement interior...bump..

A whole new grey interior would work wonders.

Very clean rig but out here in Alabama...$3500 tops. I sold my 87 for $3000 and it ran perfect and leaked nothing.

NAWWWW RED ROCKS!! INSIDE or OUTSIDE !!

its unfortunate, however, that one never gets a good return on all that great modding investment... its a labor of love... but not necessarily to the next guy. To get much over $3k, you'll have to wait for just the right person.
