I have an '81. At this point I am pretty sure I bored in to a crack in the block when I decided I wanted to put big bore Wiseco pistons in. 3 assemblies of the motor with the 3rd done by a reputable machine shop (although they neglected to check the block for a crack) and it still communicates exhaust to the coolant immediately. I want to get this project finnished! Unfortunately I just don't have the ability to do the work like I once did. got money, but finding somebody that will work with this older/irregular beast is near impossible. At this point I am willing to go one of two directions: 1. pull the existing motor and have the offending cylinder sleeved and reinstalled. 2. get a built post '85 motor and other conversion parts (intake, dizzzy?, etc.). Either way, I just can't do some of the work. Any guys on this board in this area wanna make some money? Or can you recommend someone?

Best I can off is a guy in Southern Oregon. Klamath Falls. Let me know if you want his shop's name.
Other than that, I wish you the best of luck.
