You could always look at this as a good excuse to move to Arizona. Something like 120+ days in a row now without any rain...and the wheeling is awesome out here.

I'd call you names and make fun of you, but I know I've done dumber stuff in the past (actually "converted" my first car into a rag top with an ax and hack saw), and am fairly certain I have more misadventures ahead of me. You gotta laugh at yourself in times like this.

on my old pathfinder i had thought about cutting out the whole roof excpect about 3 inches on each side, installing snaps and putting a tonneau cover on it. but lockability came into prespective... that and bucketing water out

Quote: The title says it all! I bought a nice sunroof kit for my truck and got started today.. All was good till I went to set the thing in and found the hold I cut in the roof to be about 1" to big all the way around! I accidentally used one of the head liner templates. Well now I need to find a new sunroof kit ASAP! Does anyone know of a certain model that would need a 33 1/8" x 17.5" cut out or a little larger? I found a CRL that needs a 35 1/8 x 17 1/8 do you think It would work? I cant beleive this happened! What a bitch!!!
i feel bad for you but have to admit thats not funny. good luck with you. maybe you can get a custom fit slidding ragtop put in.

I know the feeling when it comes to REALLY messing things up. Being a finish carpenter building yachts, the cabinetry [burled cherry] we build into them is VERY expensive, I've done my share of mishaps. I had the worst feeling in my gut after cutting a 17' one piece top an inch short. My boss was like

I hope you get it worked out and you're back on the good side of the miss's if you got one. And back on the road too !!!

Update!
Well after searching and spending another $250 I found a sunroof company that sold one that was exactly as wide front to back as my hole and about 4" wider so after re measuring and re measuring again.. and re measuring one more time I just had to make the cut wider left to right and it fit right in!! Anyone want to buy a nice sun roof kit?!! LOL
