Hi dx- what is your setup?
auto/manual & 4cyl/6cyl?
Any details what kind of stutter? As in, feels like it cuts out?
Could easily be TPS. Any other accompanying issues?

22re rotary and dizzy has been replaced. 2.4 liter. As I engage the gear there is a shutter. Power loss... seems to be air.

Does it only happen when changing gears or can you reproduce it at low rpms staying in gear?
Have you checked grounds?

I would say try these things first:
• Test AFM and check for free play in the flapper, if there is any notch feeling or sludgy resistance it needs to be cleaned or replaced.
• Try unplugging vac line from the fuel pressure regulator and cap the vac line so it doesn't cause a vacuum leak into the manifold. I am thinking perhaps your fuel pressure regulator is getting stuck.
• Last time injectors were serviced?

Oh yeah, and make sure the harness connector to the alternator is clean along with all the grounds.
Do you have a voltmeter on your dash cluster? Does it drop significantly when this problem occurs?

I am all too familiar with the way that feels. For example, PO of my vehicle respliced the motor harness with crimp connectors Originally Posted by dx2bass

There are good things that come of this though: the obvious one is getting things working properly, and secondarily learning what made it work and taking that nugget with you forever. Kind of a win-win. You have to love these vehicles for their approachability and simplicity when it comes to that stuff.
