Hey all, I'm replacing the knock sensor wire on my 3VZE since a mouse chewed through it.
My question is should the wire go OVER or UNDER the coolant cross-over pipe. I've seen pictures of it going over and i've seen pictures of it going under the pipe. Mine was originally routed under but I'm worried about the heat getting to it.
Thoughts?

I'll grab you a picture of how mine was done, I believe it goes under.Originally Posted by cjserio

here's a pic of my sons....looking from the driver's side......it lays over into a grove in the driver's side head (old one also in the pic....disregard the wire seen to the right)

here is a pic from our tear-down (old wire position shown)

Thanks for the pics guys. The wire in the pics is not seated in its galley yet on the head but I assume you both kept it routed across the top?

the pic of the original position was left as-is....so the replacement for it was laid the same way......over the top.
