22re Throttle Body Swap?? 3.0 v6 or Lexus?

I have a 85 4runner with the 22re. I've heard for a good 22re upgrade is to switch throttle bodies with the toyota 3.0? I've also heard switching with The lexus Lx300?? Has anyone done this before, and how difficult and is it worth it with the performance?
