oil pan leak

Ok well when I put my new tranny in this weekend I took the oilpan down painted it and put a new gasket on I also pit Toyota fipg top and bottom of gasket I think I mite have over tightened it but I'm.not sure. Well it's leaking oil so I'm passed I did all that work but what do you guys do do Yall use gaskets or just gasket maker I have to fix this and why do you think it is leaking

What do you guys think is the best way to seal the oil pan I'm gonna.try this again this weekend and I want it to be right this time.

I use a cork sealer and Indian head gasket glue. Never had a leak. Just don't over tighten the bolts. Snug them up a little over hand tight and let the Indian do the work. Great stuff.

Yep.....paint that stuff on and stick it. Never gave me problems. Just be careful with the bolts. Cork is really easy to squash.

I always use the black rtv for oil pans, most oil resistant. Dont crank down on them little bolts either.
