your stocker would do great out there we do a little of everything and we are a VERY laid back group. the terrain has everything rock gardens, hillclimbs, and lots of very fun sand dunes. most of the time in the dunes i was in 2wd. just air down your tires to 10-12 psi and you go like hell. i will bring a full air bottle this time to air everyone back up. we will never make anyone do anything that is beyond their comfort level....

Your "stock" runner is more prepared than you realize!
You have the e-locker right?
Take off your running boards and rear mudflaps for clearance and you are set.
I did coyote canyon w/VERY bald dunlops(stock) and didnt have one problem, running your exact setup.
Some old guy in a jeep was like "If you had any tread on those tires you could climb up a telephone pole!" while he was watching me make it up a hard rocky climb w/out any wheelspin

That trail is harder than the superstition area, which for the most part is a "choose your own adventure" type of area. Truckhaven is the same way, why do you think the local offroad clubs keep returning every year? That's how they appeal to the stock trucks and the fully armored/locked/geared/lifted trucks at the same location.

I thought the dune area was the best part at superstition and I even saw a bone stock expedition ripping around out there with about 5 people in it!
We'll probably be heading out to superstition in the first half of Feb, either 5&6 or 12&13.

I thoroughly enjoyed superstition. It was fun, but equipment was not much of a limitation. I am open diffed and I had no problems. There was a sandy spot where I had to take a couple attempts, but I credit that to poor driving and lack of momentum. Dude, we saw a friggin golf cart doing some rock crawlin........enough said.

i almost fell off the back of that one guy's golf cart, when he jumped it.....

alright how does the weekend of feb 5-6 sound i talked it over with the wifey and she says go. so i think this is the best weekend for me. alright who's with me?

The 5th I have a show to play now.

I am thinking of making a run with some ttora guys up to big bear on the 12th. Hopefully there will be some snow to play around in. Looks like Gold Mountain and White Mountain trails are the target.
