I should have worded it differently. I see the bolts running through the mounting bracket. I should have said that it is not pleasing to the eye.

I figured out where i'm going to mount it. I recently put seats in my truck from a civic so no more bench. I'm going to mount the cb bracket to the floor in between the 2 seats against the back of the cab. I'll post pictures when i'm done. Thanks guys.

Good luck to you. Make sure to set your SWR once you get your antenna hooked up. Your 29 has an SWR meter on it so that is a good thing! The lower you can get your SWR's (standing wave ratio) the better your transmit & receive will be.

Thanks turbo rich for the help. My friends dad (the one i got the radio from) has been into cbs for a very long time and he told me that when i get it all hooked up he will show me everyhting this radio has to offer.

ive seen some people mount some cb s in and old ammo can center console then work the mike cord out through a hole in the can hides the cb and gives u a classy center console :eek2:
ive given up on mounting my cobra 29 in my truck did put a cobra 19 in the ashtray of my 92 nissan sentra though gonna save up for a small ham radio then mod it to broadcast on the cb band and put that on in

sorry for the o/t -

instead of modding a ham radio, wouldn't it be easier (and maybe more cost-effective and still just as illegal) to get an export radio instead?
