Noticeably better than before
My mechanics told me that at least 2 of the 4 stock shocks had blown, but I couldn't tell. I love the Bilstein, my 4R is much less bouncy now. I haven't cornered at high speed yet to test the lowering springs & stabilizer bar. But in general, handling is much better than before. Should've done these mods earlier...

Wait a sec, did I install the WRONG springs?
Guys, what color are your Performance Products 1" Lowering Springs (p/n 109921)? How come the catalog & PP site show red but they sent me yellow ones like in the above pics? Did they send me the wrong product? My invoice does say: 109921 & 1" Lowr Spring 4RU though, so the invoice is right.

Are your lowering springs red or yellow?

Thanks.

Edward

Yeah all of pp springs seem to be yellow.

So that stabilizer is just another word for sway bar right? if so how much?

1. lol... how do you like those $250 JAOS mudflaps???

2. looks like your front diff is leaking... see that gunk on the front skid? it's more than likely from the front diff breather spewing fluid out... either that, or the person who changed your oil didn't tighten the oil filter and it's leaking...

I'd bet that was just from oil changes.
My skid plate looks quite similar with no leaking diff.

When I had my skid on there, I had a lot of gunk ... When changing the oil I always got some that spewed out onto it.

Id like to see osme pictures of it on the ground. How do you like that borla exhaust?

well, mine looked exactly like that w/ a burping fornt diff breather, so that could also be a root source...

Hope this helps,

PP sent me wrong parts! THREE years ago though ...
Guys, thanks for your feedback. Yup, PP sent me the wrong springs even though their invoice indicates otherwise. Well, I just spoke to them but they aren’t doing anything for me now, esp. when I ordered these more than 3 years ago. I just have to accept this now. Well, at least my upsized wheels are now not scratching as much as before.

Kevin444: Yup, stabilizer = sway bar AFAIK. I bought these more than 3 years ago so I don’t have the invoice with me anymore. If you are VERY serious, I can dig something out. I still import stuff from Japan on a regular basis.

Bamachem: I love those JAOS mudflaps, got them more than 5-6 years ago and they are still intact despite my abuse. I will ask my mechanic to check on any possible leaking spots next time when my Runner is in the shop. Thanks for pointing that out.

SC4Runner: I like the power improvement given by the Borla exhaust except the throaty sound that it produces. I know, my other car is a hybrid so I am used to a quiet cabin.

Andrey: You are right. Thanks.

Thanks every one.

Yup, I know. A change of heart after being bitten by the hybrid bug.
