where are some good places to go off-roading? i live in santa clarita, and there's a few trails around here, but nothing to write home about. i tried going on this off road area off kuehner in simi valley, but almost the second my tires hit dirt a cop came and said no offroading allowed in simi valley. dumb. so where do you guys go?

Hey, I used to live in Santa Clarita, (Canyon Country to be exact)... and no, there aint near you.. lol.
If you head north on the 14 till you get to pearblossom, theres tons of areas.
Also, if you head further, and get to 395, and go left, there is a BUNCH of offraoding places... if you follow that further, you will see ecology auto parts on the right (good source of parts at a somewhat tolerable price- pick yourself )
Keep going down that till you hit the 178, and youll start to see signs for Trona... Pretty good place for offroading, unfortunately, I went there in my corolla, and not my 4runner
There is a dry lake bed there, and lots of trails, theres signs of firepits and such everywhere, and no police/sheriffs/etc.
