Gotta burnt wire going to fuse 5 inside cab driver's side, junction box one I believe. Box cover is missing of course. The '93 FSM shows it being for "gauge" and 10amp.
Nothing works on dash but battery icon. What all does fuse number 5 power?

as far as i know, it poerers the display directly. does anything, like the cig lighter or mirrors not work? not sure if they are tied in. the display only shows a capacitor, so either a wiring or cap short could possibly be the culprit there. repair the wire and remove the cluster. if a 5amp fuse blows, you know it's not the cluster.

Just got the truck and began troubleshooting really.
I got the junction box pulled out some ( driver side kick panel )

and that 4th wire down from the top is burned bare. Six of these pins show grounded and I'll bet that ain't right.

Is there a diagram of this connector available for 1990 pickup 3.0 4x4 standard trans?

I have not looked deep into this link >>> http://www.ether3al.com/93fsm-mobile/ as it is for a 93 but it should work for you.

Same thing but a link to it from Yotatech. >>> https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...ersion-276322/

Yes I've looked through the 93 FSM but don't see any connector diagrams.
