What GEARS & TIRES are you running?
Everyone seems to have their preferences, but what GEARS and TIRES are you running on your Toyota?
I'll start it off: '86 22r 5spd with stock 4.10's on 31 x 10.50 R-15's--yeah it's SLOW! |
'92, 3.0L, 5spd, stock 4.10's, 31x10.5x15 Gets along just fine, I can gain speed on a hill on the interstate at 70mph.
|
91 4WD truck, 22RE, 5spd trans, 31 BFG(actual diameter about 30") on 15x6 rims, 4.56 gears. Police radar signs say I'm going 35mph when the speedo says 32mph.
|
im runnin 4.10's on 31's on my '86 22r..and it aint THAT slow..i mean i can safely merge into traffic on the interstate..i've got a rebuilt motor though..EB 261C cam..header and exhaust lol..
and now that i look back..i realize that those mods did help :) |
87 22re with 250xxx stock 410 with 31 x10.5x15. got to pull 3rd at 55 up hill, yea she's knida tired lol
|
well it really depends on how steep the hill is...some hills i can take in 4th (can't take ANY hill in 5th...at all)..but others i gotta get up in the RPMS close to 4400 or so in 3rd gear LOL
|
94 22re 5 speed 31x10.50 r15's. Its stock and it gets around just fine.
I can accelerate on the highway no problem. |

Currently running 4.88's on 35x12.5's. Just about perfect. Climbs hills fine, speedo is spot on, and cruises nicely at speed.

|
36x13.50's- 5:29's- 22re -5spd, works great.
|
22re 5 speed with 4.10's and 265/70/16 (31's) .... It's a little sluggish off the line, but look what I got today!!!!
http://i686.photobucket.com/albums/v...own/thirds.jpg I got the missing front for a set of 4.56's. Trying to figure out when I will get time to put em in. Until then, I will trip over them in the garage and drool. :hillbill: Almost forgot the best part.... $220 for both! |

Any pics with the new tires?
They rub at full lock. Nothing a little plasma won't fix. |
