I have a yota 1984 4x4 , all carb and vacuum lines/ emission stuff (from the factory) is still installed.....having thoughts of swapping to new carb. anyone ever done this sorta of mod?

Search a little bit, especially in the pre-84 section, and you'll find plenty of write ups for both the carb install and desmog. Should be some information on tuning the weber, as well.
