Hey guys hope everyone is having a good day. I have a larger than normal "payday" coming in this week and with the rig looking somewhat plain I want to add some bumpers.
Here's the thing I have a particular style of bumper in mind. Obviously I would like to have something like what Warn http://www.warn.com/truck/mounting-s...r_toyota.shtml offers but my budget is too small for something like that. Instead I'm looking for something like a Smittybilt style. I pretty much want to make my rig look like this one.... http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_i...0009_large.jpg

No matter what I search for I cannot find what I want anywhere. Craigslist has gave me a few results but all are beat up bad and have lots of rust.
If you guys can help me find a pair of these bumpers rear and front I would be supper appreciative.

I have an Addicted Offroad front bumper and a trail gear rear tube bumper. They are tube style bumpers but look much more modern than the smitty built.
I think All Pro and Marlin Crawler have tube bumpers as well.
G/Luck.

can you tell me where you bought them? got a website?
Those do look sweet but damn they are pricy. To be honest it would be sweet to own either of those styles but I just want something beefier. I really like the look of the thicker tube design on the Smittybilt's, plus all I need are bumpers I believe those are brush guards/winch mounts. That's not to say I don't appreciate your info thank you.

Ha Ha. I SERIOUSLY doubt the smitty built are beefier. I got the front bumper because someone backed into me and crushed my factory chrome bumper and fender. The next guy that backed into my truck didn't get so lucky. There was red tail lens everywhere and I touched up the scratch with some spray paint.
These bumpers are made to take a beating in the rocks. They are the tube version of 1/8th inch plate steel.

True I seriously doubt the smitty's are stronger in any way....but the look of the larger "beefier" tubes is what my rig would look best in. What I am having troubles with is finding a retailer or warehouse that sells anything that looks like smittybilt that would be a fit for my '93. And smittybilt only currently makes items for Jeep. I dont know maybe this is hopeless. I just want to find a fat tube design that looks just like a smittybilt but doesn't have to be a smittybilt if you know what I mean.

I too have been looking EVERYWHERE for a bumper exactly the same as you are looking for. I have only found 1 place that has it, and it sure is beefy, but it has a beefy price too. I am saving up to order this as soon as I can. Its the only place that I have found one and I have been looking for months. Hope this helps

Not going to find a retailer for 18 year old Smitty Built stuff.
Bigger tubes, yes. Beefier, no. Those are cosmetic tubes, not functional for much other than denting.
Good luck

I've been searching everywhere for the front smittybilt bumper as well. Last year I finally managed to find a rear one, but no luck on the front. may not be as strong as the rock crawling ones, but are much stronger than what comes stock, and if its for a daily driver is more than sturdy enough

by the way... check these links:

price and shipping would be too much for me right now, as I am accumulating parts for a 3.4 swap...

I have bothe the front and rear Smitty Built bumpers for sale that came off of an 85 4 Runner - they need to be sandblasted and re painted, other than that they are in good shape.

You'd be better off wrapping aluminum foil around a couple paper towel rolls and painting them black.

Also, my original suggestion was for the OP. The tube bumpers he is looking for will do nothing but crumple and cause more damage if he ever gets in a wreck.

Smittybuilt, just replace the letter "m" with a "h" is the best way to describe them. They are ok for the street but I would not recommend them for any trail use.
