Alright, thanks. I don't like the look of a wide rim and strectched out tire, so I won't be going to 10". I mostly want my wheels to not be rubbing steering components anymore. But more stable tract sounds nice. I'll look into some stuff, thanks a lot.

I just looked at US wheel's site. Does BSM stand for backspacing? Minimum....Maximum....? Because there's nothing under 4" in the wheels I looked at. I guess if M is maximum, then I'm all set. Anyway, I suppose I can just contact them.

might not hurt to just give them a call first.

a lot of the manufacturers are now going by 'mm offset' measurements in stead of backspacing, where they base the measurment in millimeters from the centerline of the wheel to the mounting surface..... something that changes with each width wheel! this makes it more confusing as you now have a constantly variable mounting surface, the one thing that should be constant. for instance, using backspacing i can use easy math in my example before, but if they are measured in offset i have to start with half my wheel width, then convert to millimeters to measure mounting point, only from there i can figure where the inner and outer lips of my wheels will sit in relation to my rig.

(its late and i'm not sure if that made any sort of sense...)

I'm sure it makes sense...if I studied the diagram in the link you posted I could tell you for sure : )
I'll talk to some wheel people, and hopefully they know their stuff and can help me.
