BLING BLING modified TJM
After working on a solution to make these things work with the stock wiring, I finally figured it out!
today I welded in the square holes of the TJM-15 bumper turn signals and fitted the sequential LED units, which use a standard oval openning. Here's a few shots showing one in action |
neat!

Very nice.
Now you will get bombarded with how you did it and where the parts came from. As always, very clean !!!! |
cool!
did you modify the wings to follow the lines of your fenders? looks really nice. |

After welding them in place, I scribed a line where I needed to cut excess material off. I will be installing 3" fog lights next to them once they arrive, so I made sure to leave room for them. As for getting them to work....."That Proprietary information" NOT!......lol I had to replace the factory flasher unit with one that could be easily modified to ignore the burned out bulb circuit. An aftermarket EP35 Triton unit did the trick, cut pin 7 on the IC and everything works perfectly. The rate of the flasher can be adjusted by changing one of the resistors, this made it possible to time the on cycle, long enough to have all 5 arrows sequence. for more info on the flasher go here |
hey bruce,
pretty trick, i must say :) good job! looking fwd to seeing your truck at DV bob |
how much did it cost you?

neat mod. i'm content with the stock tjm lights, but i guess if i ever destroy/water damage them, these fancy things are something i'd look into.. |

I saw them on a trash truck in my neighborhood, that gave me the original idea. I then did an extensive search on the net, til I finally found them. |
