looks decent and you can't beat the price on it + it's pretty light weight at only 17 lbs

I may have to look a bit closer at one of these

The rails on top are not very strong. If they get caught by a tree branch they may tear off, mine did :hillbill:

habanero 04-21-2009 09:30 AM

How big a tree branch are we talking??? :D

What about the Rola or Black Widow baskets? Guess mounting on the stock rack would be an issue with the Black Widow?

whokrz 04-21-2009 09:38 AM

Not big enough that I thought it would matter
Now I just ratchet strap it to the roof and ignore those silly branches :hillbill:

so you had one whokrz?

how'd you like it?

or anything else?

and this is for anyone

how would you mount lights on it?

spanish-road 04-21-2009 11:08 PM

it doesn't take much of a tree to take a anything off a truck. wait i removed the radio antennas all 4 of them off the hoop thing. For lights you could mount them on the lower tube and have a bracket for the lights.

I just had stuff tied to the cross pieces that came with the 4runner, like in the picture that is how they are attaching the basket

Now I open the doors and strap it to the roof.
