Do you still have the front bumper for sale? I am in Orange County SoCal

Zpd426 07-31-2012 10:12 PM

Yea I still have the bumper. ill PM you my #

Bass_rodder 08-27-2012 12:25 PM

how did you fit the 33x12.5r15 tires before you put the lt on the truck? im looking to fit that size under my truck without having to do too much to it.

Zpd426 08-27-2012 01:52 PM

I had to pound in my fender wells a bit, smash the seam flat, and cut a few inches off my bumper. you need 3.75 backspacing on the rims for it to work. Even then I would hit the bottom corner of the fender sheet metal every once in a while.

Bass_rodder 08-27-2012 05:20 PM

Did you max out the torsion bars as well?

Zpd426 08-27-2012 09:54 PM

Yes but just for the ride height. It doesnt do any good when you compress your suspension.

When you trim it is best to do it with the bars completely loose so your front end is snuffed and sitting on the bump stops. Then turn the wheel back and forth to check clearance. Then if it hits take the tire off, jack the truck up and get your dead blow hammer :). Repeat.

Make sure when you cut away some of the plastic inner fender well you dont cut too much on the passenger side because the air intake is behind it.

Oh and I had to do even more trimming of my bumper when I installed my LT. I know a guy who has a procomp 4 inch lift as well as total chaos front end on his T100 he didnt have to trim at all.

Bass_rodder 08-28-2012 09:54 AM

Do you have any pics of when you did it? I wanna make sure i do this right haha

Zpd426 08-28-2012 06:11 PM

nope no pictures. once you start you will figure out what you gotta do. once you have the tires and rims yours stuck :) If you have a stick make sure your clutch engages all the way after you start pounding.

UPDATE: I got the Mini Deaver pack installed, Love it. Still tows good. Here are some pics. also Adding a cradle for the spare tire at some point. Only thing left is Skid Plates, Rock Rails and the FOX internal bypasses! My rear right tire is about 3 inches off the ground with my 10 inch shocks, I should have much more down travel with the longer shocks, the springs can give me more.

Z, any pics of the deaver mini packs? Also, about how much did they run you money wise?

Zpd426 12-18-2012 05:04 PM

The Mini Packs from Deaver are $350 plus $40 for U bolts before tax. I love the pack, I asked for 1" of lift but forgot to account for the width of the springs themselves and that my pack was starting to sag a little. So I ended up with about 2.5" lift before they have broken in.

I am starting to piece together a procomp 4" lift so I can level out the front with the back at least (maybe make it higher and get shackles?)

Ill need a 10" coilover shock to use with the lift, Im thinking about going with kings because I like the way the spring carrier is designed better. Most likely I will go with dual rate springs.

And since I will have a longer shock and some lift why not go for more travel? Im looking at some inner Cvs that can handle 14.5" of travel.(thanks Nate for turning me onto those)

I will need to do custom bumps and Heim steering.

I know my upper arm will need some sort of modification to get all I can out of the ball joint. (or maybe uniball?) Maybe something custom or Maybe Nate over at blazeland will have something cool by the time im ready with all my parts..

And damn I STILL havnt installed my internal bypasses for the rear end yet! Its over my head as far as fab work and my friend with the know how has been busy,,,

Hmmmm an afterthought... 35s and a supercharger? :) cant afford that yet... maybe one day

ToyoTech559 03-07-2013 06:45 PM

those coilovers maybe my next mod at the end of this year but will see lol seems like im slowing changing my setup every 6 months. i still need to drop in my 63s in the rear to see if i like them or not

Zpd426 03-07-2013 06:53 PM

I gotta say I think the coilovers are one of the best things you can do. I was amazed how my cab stayed motionless and my tires just walked over stuff extending and compressing with no sway side to side

cardone 03-10-2013 09:11 AM

what size rims do you have? (width) i'm throwing on 31's that are 10.5 in and wonder if you needed wheels spacers for the front. i have a 2wd btw

Zpd426 03-10-2013 01:25 PM

I think they are 8 inches wide. I remember I went one inch wider than stock which I think is 7... Im not 100% sure...

they are 3.75 backspacing for sure.

before I had my LT I had the 33x12.5x15 with no lift but I needed the 3.75 backspacing and had to do a lot of trimming and hammering.

I had 32x11.5 on my stock sr5 rims. So you could look up the dimensions of those for comparison. I never needed spacers for those or my new ones either.

You can get up to 32x11.5s without a lift kit on the t100 and very minor trimming/hammering.

OK I finally got my internal bypass shocks installed! I have only run them on the street but so far they are softer over the small stuff and more controlled on the big stuff. I cant wait to get them out to a real trail!Attachment 160933

that is a sweet rear set up. cant wait to see it in action

Zpd426 07-05-2013 08:49 PM

Sooooo I just picked up what I THINK is a Superlift 4" bracket lift from a guy doing a SAS. I also got upper and lower arms, rotors, spindles, torsion bars, steering, and shocks, he wanted it all gone. Lucky me! I get some spare parts :)

The front and rear drop brackets are one piece which means i will have to cut and extend them which should be really easy.

I think I will also weld a reinforcement bar from the rear drop bracket to the frame or somewhere, Like the procomp stage II kit. Best of both worlds as far as strength after im done with it.

This means 35s could be in my future in a couple years... But that also means I need to Regear and get a supercharger :)

I still need to make my rock sliders.

Am planning on using the stock shock bucket with some reinforcements for my coilover.... But now I have a shock hoop with no shock. What to do? triple bypass? Maybe just some hydraulic bumps and be done with it?

so much to figure out before I do anything.
