The S/C approval sticker under my hood reads...
California Air Resources Board
Executive Order No. D-425-13

u have to go to the dealer and order the sticker--- yes the sticker has its own part number. o and if the smog shop isnt completely retarded, there is a bar code on the side of the supercharger to scan it. the easy way to get around stupid smog shops is to go to the dealer.

Do you know if or how much they charge for the sticker?
I lost the one for the S/C, and they one that I got with the exhaust, the dealer put 3 staples in it, and I took them out carefully and prepped the surface and all and it still peeled off.
They will most likely charge since it is a "TRD part" and will add some HP or other performance gain.

Thanks for the # Arch, I ended up taking a chance and not needing it but I appreciate the effort.

I totally agree that most smog shops are either ignorant about or hesitant to work on modified cars. But with Santa Clara's strict smog standards that require the vehicle be tested on a dyno for a period of time, dealers are charging as much as $70-90! Jiffy Lube does it for $49. That's why I went there, unfortunately it was a waste of time so I went to a shop in San Jose for $59 and it passed just fine. Won't have to worry about it for 2 more years...

Arch, nice bike! is that KTM?

Arch 09-12-2004 08:57 PM

Yea, it's my desert mountains tool. I have a bit of a bad scooter habit. Pics of a few of 'em here. :D

WOW! you have some sweet bikes.

My buddy used to race road, he also raced super moto a few years ago, he actually won the first race in the states in his division. His name is Carlin Dunne, he raced for Honda. He retired at the ripe age of 19 but he still has a sweet Aprilia and a few other bikes.

I will someday own a sweet enduro (most likely KTM) just gotta get the dough!

Sean, for some reason your bud's name rang a bell, so googled it and it'd seem the guy can pedal a bicycle as well!

SEAN_at_TLT 09-12-2004 10:14 PM

Yeah he's starting to make a mark on that scene right now. He's one of those people who can do anything on two wheels. Did you see any moto results on google?
