Steering squeel?
 

Please don't laugh at me and my dumb questions, but when I turn all the way or when I am on the trail and am wanting to go on direction while the wheel wants to go another (kinda bound up I guess you could say) something starts to squeel. figured it was the belt, I tightened it and it stil does it, I think the belt is in decent shape, kinda stiff but no cracks or anything like that, what else could it be, air in the pump or something? thanks

It's probably just your steering stops. Is it a loud metal-to-metal squeak at full lock? At the front and back of your lower A-arms, there are this little plastic caps covering your steering stops. These caps wear through, allowing the metal to rub at full lock. You just need to put some grease on these to make it go away. If that's not it, a squeal would also indicate low power steering fluid.

not the steering stops, its not an ifs unit, its an 85, with an ifs steering box to run the cross-over set up. any other thoughts

It's your steering linkages telling you to stop killing me. The hydraulic units are being forced to work harder *forgive me I;ve forgotten most of what I was taught in steering class* and some sort of component is either stalled or almost locking up *I need to study on that again*. If it were low on fluid, then it would cause a buzzing noise when the air is being compressed.
