RPM range expected with 4.88 Gears?
Ok, so I searched and searched some more trying to figure out what would be the RPM range with 4.88 gears while doing 65 mph, bu tno luck. The gearing charts I found seems tobe way off or don't really apply to our trucks.
I own a 1997 4Runner SR5 2WD, I just installed new 33x12.5x15 tires on it and still running factory 4.10 gears. Right now with factory gears, the RPM @ 65mph, ranges between 1950 & 2050 RPM. How much higher will the RPM be with 4.88 gears while doing 65mph? Thanks! |

Use this one, it has our Toyota transmissions programed into it (just select your tranny) and it will be right on. http://www.ttora.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56784
