Problems with the windows
 

I'm having some strange electrical problems. I can get the rear drivers side, and the front passenger side windows to go up and down from the master control in the drivers seat. But I can't get the drivers side window, or the passenger rear to work. However, the passenger rear window works from that seat.

A couple days ago the drivers side window stopped working right. I could get it to go up, but not back down. I took off the master switch and tried to clean it a bit, but that didn't help at all.

FYI - The other switches (locks and mirror controls) still work.

Any ideas?

I thought about the fuses, but the fact that some things work and others don't makes me think that's not the problem. I tested my fuses anyway, they're all good.

I'd rather not have to buy a new master control switch, are there any other tests or anything I can do to rule out other possibilities?

for me, some things worked and others didn't as a result of the master plug not connected completely to the harness coming through the door...

other than that, i can't think of any troubleshooting short of trying the master control in another 4runner.
