Don't think the wife would like that.:nono:

What do these bushes look like? Not your wife's, the ones on the truck, I need to rid myself of these squeaks. I can be heard coming down the street from a good distance. Very irritating.

Finally got my squeaks taken care of!!! It turned out that it was not the shocks. I took it to an EXCELLENT car repair shop, Roswell Auto Care in Alpharetta, GA. If anyone lives around this area, I would highly suggest these people. They wouldn't even accept my ten dollar tip, just come back and see us next time they said. Went in for an oil change and mentioned that there was an annoying squeaking coming from the front somewhere. They checked the shocks first but found that the noise was present when rocking the car back and forth not up and down. Apparantly there was a rubber bushing that had fallen out which had left metal rubbing against metal. The location slightly below the front grill area, It's a little hard to describe but I can take some pics and post them if anyone is interested.
Also got my AC working good again. Bought a recharge kit from Pep boys for $25 with guage. Very simple to do, thanks for the help on that one guys, you saved me a crap load of money and headaches. |
Hi stoutshady,
I know this is an old post but I have the same problem and I cant figure out where the squeek is coming from. Can you post some pics of the bushing? Thanks. alex |
Ok, I'll try to take some pics tonight after work.

Squeaky Turns and Bounces
I get the squeak when I turn the wheels all the way to either side and I go over a small bump, happens all the time when turning into a driveway. It's more like a loud, low pitched popping squeak than a continous, high pitched normal squeak you'd hear from brakes or something.
Going to try the WD40 on the bushings and see what happends. Cheers |
