Still haven't managed to misjudge anything while wheeling. I kick ass. I just went for a quick run and misjudged something while backing up. I hate not having a turnaround spot, and having to backup all the way down a trail you just came down. http://scofco.snowcave.org/oops.jpg Truck, meet tree, tree, truck. ( Don't laugh at the size of it, they don't get too much thicker than that up here :) ) |
Tree? Rear quarter panel?
Don't you carry a pocket knife? Shoulda stayed at the mall... :bang: |
We don't have a mall.
I actually lied, I have a nice dent in my bumper I forgot about. Backed up into a snowdrift while turning around on a trail, the drift wasn't as deep as it was supposed to be. :hillbill: |

WooHoo WTG Joey I like it! I took my girlfriend up to a gravel pit the other day and played for a bit. I went to back up and knew there was a ledge to a hill behind me but figured I would just drive up it. Next thing I knew I felt a heavy thud and assumed I had a mangled bumper end but luckily hit my hitch. Im still a virgin, 0% damage besides add on parts like my skid plate and killing ball joints. I have a few runs I plan on going on here in the next few weeks so who knows maybe I will get in hot N heavy to. Ben

What the hell is wrong with you guys?!?! Dents are cool?:dunno:
I like my truck to look brand new and shiny (dent free) when it's on the street, and extremely muddy after I'm done wheeling. Yeah, that means washing it 3 to 4 times a week, waxing at least once a month, ect... Dents, scratches, or any kind of body damage (including faded paint) are NOT cool in my book:nono: |
perhaps, but if you worry too much about that kind of stuff, you'll be hesitant to ever go anywhere -- and you'll miss out on a lot. scratches/dents can happen no matter where you are, and it'd be a pity to avoid going out and enjoying your truck's abilities just because you're worried about getting a scratch or a dent.

when i got my 85 runner it had one dent in it from the previous owner (i bought it in 2000) so my wife tells me to move my truck out of the backyard onto the street to save parking for my tenants(we live at the beach in So.Cal.) I tell her "no" because it was friday night and i had a friend over and we had consumed the better part of a twelve pack. well cant argue with the wife. she wins. i move the truck but forget to close the drivers door while backing out of the driveway. After tearing off the door and part of the house my wife says "i guess i should have listened to you" anyways i got a new door and took a hammer to the front fender and it's good enough for me considering i wheel the piss out of it now anyways. I still feel your pain though

Maybe it's just me but I have noticed that if I had a dent and got it fixed right away that within a short period of time I'd get another. I used to keep fixing them no matter how small the dent was untill finally I got fed up with the vicious cycle and left the next one I got (a small quarter sized dimple). I haven't got another one since. :bounce:

i've replaced a door panel before. the front one I got included a power mirror which was 700, but i think the door alone, whether new or from a junk yard, after paint, will be probably 500 each AT LEAST.
