I'll try and post a picture once I get a digital camera of what 265/70/16 look like streched over a 16x10 rim. They look like drag slicks right now. Thanks for the info guys, I just paid for my Sorran Steel Pan hard drop bracket too.

wish I knew you wanted one. I would have made you one free.

A 12.5" wide tire will rub on the stock upper a-arms - I don't care if it's a 32, a 33, or a 35. Aside from that, it should clear OK. You'll get some rubbing if you don't trim a lot or do a big BL. Even with a 2" BL and a 3" SL, I still rub... but it's only on the frame rails in the front, at turn/compression.

Yeah, I was just looking at the clearance of my 265/75 's on my stock rims, and I think Ive only got about an inch at tops from the A-Arm.
Your gonna need some rims with like 3.5" backspacing for them to work on a 16X10, no? |
Has anyone tried the 295/75/r16 the bfgoodrich makes. that is the next tire i am going for. It measures out to 33.5 and like 11.8 or somehthing. I will have a 3" suspension and a 1" body and i will probably try some wheel spacers.

Wow Kesuir such generosity!!!!Thanks
I really wished I knew that you made them. Oh, well. Maybe next time. I guess Im gonna have to do somthing to stop the rubbiing of the new tires. Since you said that I might need some after market a-arms. Are thoes the upper arms or the lower arms. And does anyone have a link to the Arm companies? Or would it be better to go with spacers? |
InlandTrucks.com
I believe they are making one of the best (if not the best) aftermarket upper arm for newer Toyotas. |
Thanks Jackson,
Thanks for the Arm link. But you think there would be no way to clear the rim/ tire combo with without modifiying the arms? Thats a little out of my budget. I already about or going to buy, 2"RB body lift, Soran Steel Pan harddrop, the welds, and tires. Im also doing your rear dif breather mod as we speak. But I dont know how hard it gonna be to track thoes down in hawaii. |

As for the spacers I might give thoes a try. Anyone know where to pick them up for a resonable price? And are they any down sides to running wheel spacers? I eyeball measured my space between the bubble on the tires and the A-arm and found there to be little space. Im hope that I can at least try and clear somthing under there thats bigger than the bubbled 265/70/16 on 16x10s because that bubble look is driving me bonkers. Maybe I can try and fit the 285/75/16 under there but it might be a exact fit, with little play. Other wise its either spacers or 31x11.50 LTD Interco tires for me and thats gonna be noisey and not safe on the rainy roads here in hawaii.
Hey Keisur my PM box hasen't seen action in a while too. Not since I sold my Revtek, rear spacers. |
285/75-16s are roughly 11.5" wide, so they will clear the a-arms. However, I've heard that they will rub some on the fender linings... but that can be easily cured with a small body lift or some trimming/pounding.

How will that work for the front IFS on the '97. I don't really see how it would work. Any one know if theres problomes? Thanks for the links for check them out Im looking at All Pro....
Hey Jackson thanks for the rear diff breather mod write up I just did mine aboutan hour ago. Never drove the truck yet, but thanks |
actually if you check out the last link I posted, they are cheaper there.
|
But they appear to just space the rim, and dont give the orginal stud length. But I'll email them to see what they have to say. thanks bud,
