99 SC - What is this?
On my 99 S/C PreRunner I have what appears to be a fuel regulator, but I can not figure out for sure.
I want to see if this is going bad as I get a stumble on the boost at about 6 lbs. Anyone want to venture a guess or know exactly what it is? http://lh3.ggpht.com/_U-vYuDaNFEo/SX...0/DSC00032.JPG BTW, I have not posted pictures of my newest toy. Here are some ;) http://lh6.ggpht.com/_U-vYuDaNFEo/SX...0/DSC00015.JPG http://lh5.ggpht.com/_U-vYuDaNFEo/SX...0/DSC00002.JPG http://lh4.ggpht.com/_U-vYuDaNFEo/SX...0/DSC00011.JPG http://lh6.ggpht.com/_U-vYuDaNFEo/SX...0/DSC00014.JPG http://lh6.ggpht.com/_U-vYuDaNFEo/SX...0/DSC00015.JPG |
im not sure what that is, but have you done all of the fuel delivery upgrades? if not that may be causing the stumble.

Since that's just a slight variation in boost, make sure the line going to your boost gauge isn't kinked, crimped, etc.

Funny I made a post asking that too the first time I saw an aftermarket regulator, if that's what that is. Not my truck but here is the thread: http://customtacos.com/forum/showthread.php?t=114795

Thanks all, for the help. Surely someone has used one or seen one like this!
Spence: I bought the truck with the regulator and S/C on it. I am unsure if it has always had the issue or not. So I am trying to correct a wrong ;) Okie: DING! There was a kink in the line I found when doing the remote start system but the stumble is still there. Dale: Wow, what a setup! Not sure what to think of that rig... |
