97 4runner no heat
97 4runner sr5 no heat, not thermostat, not water valve, not core plugged, coolant is circulateting ?????? HELP PLEASE.

Try to determine if the control cables are properly connected to the air blend doors under the dash; and that those doors move appropriately.
No air thru the heater core: No heat. |

No air thru the heater core: No heat. I saw similar thing just last Sunday while in the process of flushing the cooling system of a 1999 4Runner. The plastic fitting on the heater control valve in engine compartment broke so I bypassed it with a straight fitting. That means coolant was getting to the heater core. However, there was still no hot air with blower on. Turning the temp adjust knob got me hot air. At first I thought that the heater control knob opening the valve was all that's needed. I did not realize there's still the "air blend door" to deal with. |
this may seem stupid, but.... is the fan blowing air? you didn't mention it.
