2002 4runner brake issue
i have a 2002 4runner, it has 100km on it, am going through 1 set of front router evrey 8000km, i can't keep up, the router warp to fast, the delear replaced them 3 times under waranty so far, now they are gon again, the car vibrate when i hit the brakes, what should i do? whats the tundra upgrade? should i try other blanks insted of the OME?
THANKS |
It sounds like there is a bigger problem. A sticky of frozen caliper maybe? Pinched break line?
If your caliper is constantly clamped it will ruin an OEM or an aftermarket rotor. Your post is a little unclear, are you only having problems on one side? After three trips to have this repaired under warranty, what is the dealer telling you? |
Like said above, I would get the dealership to replace the whole brake system--calipers, rotors and pads. No way it should be going through rotors that fast.

thanks for answer, the dealer replced them under warranty three times already, he told me he can finde nothing wrong, i cheked to see how long after in its about 10000km. i told him to see if anything wrong with caliper but he said thhey are ok(car is not under any warranty). any thought.

and yes, its both sides

If you had them replaced 3 times under warranty. You should contact Toyota and explain your situation. This sounds like a special circumstance and should be honored since you have been having problems out of it. If you don't get anywhere with Toyota file a claim with the Better Business Bureau then Toyota will deal with you.
Good luck I have been through a similar situation and you have to let your voice be heard by someone other than the dealer. |
doesnt sound right to me.. though 02 tacos and 4runners have had known braking issues... my brakes suck but not like his lol
