sick build dude, you gonna make it street legal or offroad only?

lizard lips 02-10-2008 09:10 AM

I'm going to try and make it legal. I'll put some flaps on it and hope fullly I dont have too many problems with it.

geTBeNt2NIghT 02-10-2008 09:21 AM

wow thats bada$$. cant wait to see more. looks great!

lizard lips 02-10-2008 10:39 AM

thanks. I just need to get the guy over here to wire up and outlet for my welder. I gotta weld up my rear truss, link crossmember, and rear links. then either make a crossmember or get a front range one.

nate V 02-10-2008 01:43 PM

Sweet build man you have one awsome looking project there. :bounce:

luxdlx 02-10-2008 01:57 PM

That ting is BOOBIES.

87toy. 02-10-2008 08:15 PM

Awsome work man, killer welding and i dig the rear end setup. but why the chevy motor? dosent the 4.3 chev make maybe 30hp and tq more than a 3.4 toy done right?.. toyota tough with chevy stuff.

lizard lips 02-11-2008 06:26 AM

The cpi motor has more juice than a normal 4.3 I'm a chevy guy. I tried to have a toyota motor once, a 22re, and it sucked. I sold a 22re, G52, and dual cases and picked up this 4.3 cpi, a JET th350 and dual cases 23 spline with the rotated adapter for about $200 more than than I sold the toy stuff for. So I picked it up. A toy 3.4 would be nice. But oh well.

Uh, is that thing gonna clear the garage door when its done?

lizard lips 03-24-2008 12:51 PM

It'll clear without the tires on. I'll drive out on some roller wheels I have. I'll be 3 linking the front as well

yotasavg 03-24-2008 02:42 PM

good lord that is my dream truggy (except i want diamonds f/r).

lizard lips 03-25-2008 06:15 AM

I'm just sticking with 1 tons. I'll end up putting bobby long 60 cv joints in the front with poly performance 60 flanges, and chromo's in the rear. Beefing everything I can. So when something blows it grenades.

yotasavg 03-25-2008 06:19 AM

oh i'm sure it'll be plenty strong, lol. i just love the way extra cabs look when in truggy form.

lizard lips 03-25-2008 10:05 AM

hopefully I'll have it done by the end of april. If not I'm doing a 3 link in the front before its done. I'm trying to make the bender jambo at the hammers
