Oh yeah! I have used that stuff before. There was a sale at Advance Auto Parts once so I bought a quart just for kicks to see what the deal was. I put the recommended dose in my tank and then let my friend borrow the bottle to use some. Haven't seen the bottle since. I can't even remember if it helped or not because that was back in June or July. I'll have to give her a call and see if she still has some left :laugh:

Yep that's the one I use too. Only I buy the bigger bottle because I use it on both my 4Runner and my Corolla.
Edit: I noticed a difference in my mileage when I began to use it. i used to get 13-14mpg and now I'm up to 14.8-16.4 or so. And that's also with driving less aggressive too.

About where at does your oild pressure run on the gague? I havee a feeling mine is a little low

When I was driving this morning, the oil pressure gauge was at the second line to the right when I was traveling at about 60. I'm not sure if that's low or high. I'll have to look at the manual or something.

All this talk about 33s have me wanting to throw on a set to see if they rub and how bad they are on factory gears. We had two in the bed of our plow truck that's in the woods behind our house. Oddly enough, they're Sport Kings. I'll have to throw them on at some point. I don't think they should rub since they're a 15x8 rim with a bit deeper backspacing than my rims. We'll see...

I have those same tires. Mine are 33/12.5/15 on stock SR5 rims. They rub on my truck so I have them set aside for when I get my SFA and 4" Lift installed to finally put them on.

Well it's been almost a month...:laugh: and I finally got around to putting a 33 on. They look weird, but maybe that's because I'm used to a 10" wide rim.

I really didn't learn anything from it. They were so worn that they were actually slightly smaller in diameter than my 32s. They also stuck out roughly the same amount.

I wasn't really surprised, but this WILL be fixed in the spring.

Wow. Just spent the last hour reading through your thread. Truck looks great. I have a 92 V6 pickup . About to install leaf spring blocks and depending on how high i raises it over the front i might put ball joint spacers. Anyway nice looking truck..

Thanks! I myself prefer to have the front maybe a half an inch higher than the rear. I don't really know why.You can't really go wrong with ball joint spacers. Other than the fact that they change steering geometry and that some shops won't do an alignment on trucks that have them, they're great. The blocks on the other hand...

For the past few weeks, my truck has been hard to start in the mornings. When I would turn the key, the starter would just click. I would keep turning it and it would be like the 8th or 9th turn that it would actually start. Last year, I added water to it to solve the problem. This year I had to do the same and it took 5 1/2 cups. Is that a lot to be putting in the battery? I definitely don't remember putting that many in last year. But it's still hard to start in the mornings now, even after adding the water. My guess is that I added so much water to it that the acid is too diluted. Also, I checked the manufacturer date and it was November, 2006. So I decided to order in a brand new Interstate Mega Tron Plus from work.

Most of the rust was on the frame, but it's minimal now. That's the only rust I have on the sheet metal that I know of (I still haven't removed the bed liner to know what's under there).

If I were to get another set of rims for this truck, they'd definitely be another set of Outlaw 2s. I love them, but a friend of mine says they look like trailer rims.

Can't believe I've missed this build thread for so long! Good stuff you're doing there. My truck started it's life out in MD but is living out its years in SoCal. It doesn't miss the rust for sure..
I'm curious to see how your 33s look all the way around with the lift you have as I'm considering dumping my bracket kit for that mild of a suspension lift but I'm interested in keeping that size.

On your starting thing, have you changed out the starter contacts? It's a common and cheap fix if you haven't done it yet.

I figure if I hear the starter clicking then the contacts are fine. There just isn't enough power to turn it.
