95 4runner lift

Hey everyone hows it going? neww to the forum, seems great tho!!!

I have 95 4runner and was wanting to do the ball joint spacer in the front and the fj80 coils in the rear,I bought the coils already, still trying order the BJ spacers, also have 33 procomp mud terrains!! i have read up a bit on them on this site and googled it a couple times, I was wondering if any one has like an exact link or any info on that will explain how to do both and if theres any extra hardware that i need? I read some people are cutting things in the front end for the ball joint spacers? soo im just a little confused if im suppose to or not to do this?

thanking you guys in advance

Ya, true enough, you have to cut the inside bottom of the upper control arm back to fit the spacers, not difficult to do, i bought a 4 1/2" angle grinder from harbour freight for like $20 or something and cut em out. no other hardware needed as far as I know.

Thanks a lot for the link crawyota found some good write ups on it ther, I see that you did the same lift, how do you like it? I have the rear coils at my house and just ordered the ball joint spacers..

87 'runner how come you ace to cut for the BJ spacer to fit does it rub if you don't??

thanks a lot guys

No, the ball joint spacer won't fit in there at all unless you cut it. It's really not as hard as you would think, I just made two cuts, got a hammer and long punch and bent it back to fit the spacer.

Won't that weakent the arm though?

Not really, it is a non-structural piece you are removing, just the outer lip of the control arm:

On the 2WD pickups, there is no lip there at all.

Another option i trimming is a big issue is to run a lower height spacer, like 1"

Those will generally fit w/o trimming.
