Where does this wire go (pic)? 93 4x4 DLX Pickup

1 Attachment(s)
Found this wire behind the bench seat. The connector was plugged into another connector coming out from under the carpet, near the seat belt.
Is it for a seat belt warning/reminder? Where does the stripped wire end attach to?

Thanks all

Has to be the seatbelt buckle switch that P.O. ripped off.

Wouldn't it be more accurate and quicker if you inspected your seatbelt buckle switch wiring?

Do you get a seatbelt warning when you unbuckle you seatbelt while engine is running?

I want to say seat belt idiot light, I think my 93 DLX has one down there too.

The wires for the seatbelt switch should be B and W-B. Your picture makes the wires both look G. Are they actually that color? The connector looks right.

And that's from same model-year? Toyota wire colors are confusing.

Decades of filth, yuck! Every body above need to take a scotchbrite and grease remover to those wires..

Don't think I have images of my wires. Wasn't much worried about reminder chimes..

(Just checked not seeing the belt reminder wires)

There aren't a lot of options under the seats, it is either belt reminders or oxygen sensors and that's not oxygen sensors..

:) Yanked mine out years ago. When I was in the Navy we were told our life insurance would not me paid if we died of a car accident while not wearing a seatbelt. Didn't need a stupid buzzer for that.

Thanks for the responses and pics, yep.. that looks like it. I'll have to see if I can find the other end of the wire under there.
I looked for a bit, it must be under the carpet somewhere.

It should run behind the rail where the front seat mounts on to the door threshold, to the connector behind the left-side kick panel.

Thank you, I'll be checking it this weekend.

Your image shows a female socket, user provided image of latch shows female socket, you say in the first post it was plugged in... Your loose wires go inside the buckle/latch, probably not easily repaired...

This^^^ Once confirmed it is for the seatbelt, which I really think it is, I'd just leave it alone, unless O.P. needs a reminder to put seatbelt on.

Which would also explain the (lack of) color.
