looks way better!
are you going to put sliders on in their place? |
Looks great!
|
another 4runner takes the plunge...i cant stand those running boards
|
did you lift it ? looks great
|
I put sliders on my '01 Tacoma. They are amazing when you take that thing deep off road. I highly reccomend getting a set, cause they are just plain awesome.

Maybe resale value? |
I think 4-runners need the running bars. I wouldn't want to be without mine. Just a different view.
|
looks great!!:hillbill:
doesnt look like a mommy-mobile anymore!:rockin: |
id take em off if they werent actually functional...my son needs them to get in
i want a set of sliders that function under the running boards |

I tried to sell mine on craigslist for $15 obo like 3 times. No bites.
They are free to anyone who wants to get them now |
You will be much happier not having those running boards on there, they just get in the way. Kinda of like my rear bumper used to. :D
|
I think the Runner's look 100% better without the running boads on there. I did the same thing with my truck. All forms of running board/mud flap had to go on all my trucks.
I definately think sliders are in my near future! |
I dunno, I have mine on only so I can wash the roof of my truck. Assuming I ever washed it. :D
Looks good. I'm yanking mine off this week as it is. Anyone that wants a set in MD, PM me, or I'll just take 'em to the dump. |
I got about $120 for mine when I sold them on ebay, had to go through the trouble of shipping them to Puerto Rico (at the buyer's expense) though.

|
look good what kind are they?
|
Olharleyman ~ What kind of sliders are you running? How do you like the TRD limited slip diff?
|
looks nice! i want to take mine off but i carpool with my mom and she already has a hard time getting in
|
Are those what "sliders" are?, what Olharleyman's pics show?
|
I have the same problem with sliders as I do running boards. I'm tall enough to get in without - so I don't use 'em. When I had running boards - I'd use try to use them and whack my head.
It is okay in the summer - but winter sucks. I step down - brush my leg against them and get my pants dirty. Since I took mine off I have a rule - no short people. |

Yep. I'm actually kind of curious as to which company's sliders they are, since I like the angle of attack... Not to mention where Olharleyman's light bar on the bumper came from... |
Yes those are Sliders!
The angle of the sliders can be determined with any set of sliders you buy. When you set how far out you want them to stick from the body you also set the angle of the slider itself. You can only do so much or else you wont be able to open your doors. lol. |
looks way better without the running boards, I'm actually going to pull those blasted things off my self. just wait for the weather to warm up.
can't wait!!!! |
just took mine off this weekend, the truck looks a lot meaner. after taking them off people kept asking what i changed, if i lifted it, etc. now if i could only do something about that low gas tank.
|
4crawler can help you out with that aspect, but you have to add a body lift to your 4runner.
