How many miles on a FULL tank of gas?

Was wondering how many miles everyone here gets on a full tank of gas? If you've tested this, please post your engine and results.
I have the 3vz and my last tank (filled from near empty) got 290 miles.
My recent full tank (with warmer weather) got 305 miles. These results were achieved with about 40% highway-60% street driving.
Would you say thats normal, below or above average?

Ric, Thats interesting what you said. I wonder if Colorados higher elevation causes better MPG. After currently living here about 2 years, i also love it more and more! :great:

It's really not possiable to figure how many gallons you get per tank. You need to figure how many miles you get per gallon.
Most everyone's gage reads differently.

The most I ever got is 319.2 miles.

someone told me that they oxeginate the gas out here, what ever it is, i like it

anthraciterunner 05-27-2005 06:58 PM

I've been getting better mileage for some reason now. I used to get 245-260 tops. Lately I've been getting 270-300.

ugadawg95 05-27-2005 07:11 PM

I got better than 350 miles on a tank in my 3.4L last month...ALL highway miles. But during the week driving to/from work I average 280 miles.

callmej75 05-27-2005 07:59 PM

3.0 - 200 miles per tank if I'm lucky -all city driving.

DavidA 05-27-2005 08:46 PM

320 miles per tank right now. The light goes on at about 295-300.

bike4miles 05-27-2005 11:35 PM

about 360 if I were ever to suck it dry.

jimbo74 05-28-2005 03:30 AM

i get around 200 miles per tank... the most gas at fillup i have ever put in my truck was 13 gallons....

ChickenLover 05-28-2005 04:05 AM

3.0

290 - city
320 - highway

shotking4 05-28-2005 05:16 AM

I got the 3.4 and i'm running 305/70's. I get around 180-190 miles a tank since i lifted it. I know my odometer must be off, but i'm not really sure how off it is. I'm guessing 10% since i went from 30's to 33's. The best i've gotten since the lift was 220 with a lot of highway. I usually fill up with 13 or 14 gallons. Good thing gas prices are going back down around here.

callmej75 "3.0 - 200 miles per tank if I'm lucky -all city driving."

i'm about the same; can hit maybe 220mi or so before filling up again. but i, too, do a lot of about-town driving, idling at stop, etc.

just replaced my fuel filter the other day; have (almost) all my parts for a tuneup; and will be replacing the o2 sensor when i get my new exhaust figured out... might make a positive improvement...

callmej75 05-28-2005 07:27 AM

Yeh I have changed my O2 sensor like 8 months ago and keep my plugs gapped and cleaned once a month. I'm cautious about routine maintenance so I like to change my fuel filter like every 3 months or so just to be safe and its not that much of a costly thing to worry about. Just changed my dist cap and rotary button and wires have about 4,000 miles on them if that. My mileage just dropped because of the heavy swampers just put on. I run seafoam and try to keep it cleaned out as much as possible and change my oil about every 3,000 miles or so. Like I said...some will say it is wasting my money but I would like for it to run as good as possible when I demand it to without breaking down a whole lot and having costly repairs.

ugadawg95 05-28-2005 08:28 AM

You change your fuel filter every 3 months? Dang that's a little overkill IMHO. Some say that Toyota designed them to last forever. I don't know about that but I know after 3 months, there is no way possible it needs to be changed. Save some $$$ and wait til atleast 30K, maybe even 60K.
