Engine swap

I have a 91 3vz just blew a head gasket. So my question is what would be the best swap to do. Easyest and cheapest way preferably.

I debated long and hard about what to do with my rig. Knowing I drive it only a few miles a year (3000 ) I decided a top end rebuild was most cost effective. If I get 30-40k out of my rebuild that’s a bunch of years. When that time comes I think I’ll go with a complete rebuild.

the shop I am dealing with has a grave yard of swaps that didn’t go right.

Here is one that came up. So Toyota did a fan clutch job on my truck about 2 years ago and at the time a factory fan clutch was not available. The new Chinese one they put in there has some toughness to it. So I am attempting to source a factory one. Some sites say not available (dealerships). Others call it another part. Rock auto has a similar one. Anyone know who built the original ? Have a link ....?

Aisin is who makes the factory Toyota fan clutch.

Looking up a 1994 Toyota Pickup 3.0L 3VZ-E in Aisin's parts catalog, it looks like Aisin's part number is FCT-038 and they are still available.

Summit Racing has them: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/a...a/model/pickup

So I called around and couldn't find anyone that would rebuild my 3zve so I decided to buy a long block that was completely redun. So it's been a few weeks since I've gotten the old motor out with the new one sitting. So I decided to start taking everything off from the exhaust manifold down with in the first week or so then got swamped and work and out a ton of ot in. Now I'm tryin to figure out where everything went mostly mounting brackets and motor mounts and can't seen to remember when ˟˟˟˟ went. Wish I would of took pictures now. Can any one help me with pics or something that could help me out. I've been searching the internet and YouTube not having much luck. Thanx in advance. I

So after almost 1000 miles the rebuild is doing great. One thing that came up is the code 52 knock sensor light. I took it back and the guys there admitted they replaced it with a non Toyota part. They redid it with a factory Toyota wire and sensor and it’s back in business. I know most people say their 3.0 is a slug but mine fly’s. Love it.

Forgot to mention that I added a bunch of HPS hoses while I was at it. All the cooling lines. I replaced the radiator with a CFS one.

I got it back just in time to find out the cheap wheel bearings pep boys put in were shot already. New Toyota ones are in there now.

Also replaced the original factory steering stabilizer with a Rough Country one.

Put in a new idler arm from 4crawler (with brass insert )

Also needed a center carrier bearing. So I replaced that as well.

Put some Truck Lite LED headlights and I love them.

next up ... new seats 💺

o yea also it was time to replace the autozone master clutch cylinder. While I was at it I replaced the Original slave cylinder. Solved a sticking clutch issue.
