Clutch recommendations for a stock 92 4WD 22RE
Hello all,
I am in the process of replacing the clutch in my completely stock 92 22RE 4WD pickup. Wondering what is the best (longest-lasting) clutch to get with about the same pedal feel? Should I replace my flywheel with something better or just have it cut if it is scored? Truck has 120K, just bought it a week ago from an Arizona owner (rust-free!) Thanks! |
Marlin Crawler 1200 # clutch kit would be my choice.
I have one Aisin and one LUK can`t tell much difference |
I have had the Marlin Crawler #1200 in a couple of trucks including my current one and love it.

Marlin's is seco/aisin kit can't go wrong. Put mine in sometime in 2008.

120k isn't really much on these trucks. If the flywheel isn't scored or overheated too badly a resurface is a good thing. I've resurfaced a number of them and have never had a problem.

Resurfacing may work. It may look like it work but didn't after re-installing and driving. Resurfacing may not work at all.
Replacement option would be stock. Heavier for torque. Lighter for acceleration. Decision... decisions |

I bet you could find it maybe $10-20 cheaper, but here ya go

Thanks for the link, wonder who makes the flywheel they sell? Seems hard to find a non-chinese flywheel unless I spend megabucks and use LCE. (I have read that Luk are made in China?)
I've got one in my truck, and so far no issues. |
