Blower control replace
'89 2wd 22RE. The only speed that works is highest blower. The lower speeds gave up one at a time over a period of years.I see the controller which I suppose switches various resistances listed on rockauto. How much of a job is this to replace? I'm in WA and my pubs for the pickup are in CA. Thanks Jim

Your symptoms sound the same as mine.
root cause for mine was the blower motor resistor. On passenger side inside firewall behind the glovebox that in turn caused the switch to fail. Basically had to start on the right side and pull the dash apart working towards the center. Somewhere towards the beginning of my build thread I have pics edit : post #245 https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f199...l#post52330928 |

If 4Runner, I remember mine to.be a simple, easy job. Don't quite remember if I posted about it. Resistor module is somewhere behind the glove compartment, IIRC. |
Many thanks; I'm hoping a new resistor assembly from rockauto will do the job...order it sent to bro's house for next trip down. Thanks again
