Thanks for the info on the injectors. But do I want to put Hyundai parts in a Toyota?! haha. I'll look more into them.
I'm glad I got it balanced too @Melrose 4r . This is a slow rebuild, ie won't have a video of it running till next year when I install it! Anyways, the valve adjustment screws will be from toyota.
The head gasket needs to be looked into more. I have to check and see what Bud's recommends.

Anyone have info on these items?

1. Speedi sleeve?
2. Camshaft?
3. Late 22re intake swap? Never mind found this great write up. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...e-swap-284813/
4. 22re A/C bracket compatibility? 87 4runner vs 89 pickup.

It appears the A/C brackets are different..https://parts.toyota.com/p/Toyota_19...843126150.html

Anyone have experience running a later 22re A/C compressor on an older rig? My rig is an 87 and this motor/compressor is from an 89 pickup.
I also believe this was a 2wd engine after looking at a picture of the oil pan.

Does anyone have measurements of a 2wd dipstick tube vs a 4wd one? I did some research but didn't have much luck.

Cost

How much did Buds charge you to do all the machine work on the engine? I'm debating on just having a machine shop do the bottom end like you did. I'm also in WA.

All the work and new parts from Buds was $1460.
Pricy, but the work looks quality. You could probably save a good amount if you assembled the short block.
