Broke something on my motor during rebuild

When I was putting my motor back together I accidently broke this:

I think it was some kind of vacuum inlet/outlet.

Can someone tell me what this is and where I can get a new one?

Thanks,
Leon

Looks like the Bi-metal Vacuum Switching Valve (BVSV) for the EGR system. It switches vacuum on to the EGR modulator once the engine warms up. Junkyard or Toyota parts counter to get a replacement:

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

I really appreciate it. I will search and see if I can find it.

Anyway you know a good way to find the part number for it? or is their any toyota employees on here that can get the part number for a Bi-metal Vacuum Switching Valve for a 1985 Toyota 4x4, 22re, non-turbo?

Thanks

If I remember right I think the number was either molded into the plastic peice that broke off or its etched into the brass fitting still there. I think those run about $80 at the dealer. If you need the part number I will try to get it tonight.

will not fixing this right now make my truck not run. I am in the process of getting it running after a new timing chain and head and was wondering if this could be my problem?

Just affects the operation of the EGR valve. Basically blocks EGR operation until the engine is warmed up. With it broken, you'll have a small vacuum leak and depending on how you connected lines, the EGR will either be on all the time or off all the time.
