My '85 Dolphin RV getting restomod and Iwant to install cheapo Harbor Freight gauge set (maybe):
1) as they are mech.gaugeswill the threads on water temp and oil press. work or do I need adapters? Water temp between 2&3 top of head. Oil behind RH motor mount.
2) are there better locations?

Can't find a SR5 or 4Runner tach cluster (22RE) at a reasonable price so I got a 2" HF tachometer; are they any good?

If those are a PITA to install I have some used electric Golf VDOs:
1) Water temp- can I use the OEM Yota sender
2) Oil sender - don't have one (source to fit?)
3) Voltage- does it matter where if it's hot when on?
