Got the old threads out this weekend. Pulled the pan and cleaned out the oil galley, and resealed the pan.

Took it for its first drive in a little over a month. Started right up! New dash was not performing as I had hoped it would. I have read that it may take them a while for the needles to all start functioning, is that right? Oil pressure gauge, fuel gauge, and tachometer were all not moving. Back door light was blinking with window up and locked, and 4wd was on when it was in 2wd.

Little bit of an update, but not much. Anyways, not satisfied with the performance of the sr5 TURBO cluster, or the odometer on it, I swapped the leds into the old cluster and put back in, and returned the 4runner back into daily driver status. I believe the next thing I would like to address are my creaky old leaf springs under this. The bushings are all toast so I figure i will just replace all 4 packs. Anyone got some good suggestions? Im thinking it has at least 4 inches of lift under it. I am wondering if an OME rear leaf pack coupled with a 2 inch shackle foot the bill?
Also found these in storage, I am sure someone out there is looking for a set like this... I don't need them

New greasable shackles showed up marlin today. Little bigger than expected, need to read up on shackle angle now.

Got a little update, not much but better than nothing right! Santa brought me some marker/blinker combos from davezoffroad. I also now have 4 new leafs and all the necessary hardware for that install. Just waiting on time.
We also got a second 4runner, it wasnt fair that the wife didnt have one.

saw the signals in instajunk, like'em!

is your current shackle angle with the weight of the truck on all four wheels?

It is. If you look at the picture with the marlin shackles next to the ones that are installed you can see the angle. The passenger rear angle is even worse, and has a tendency to flop forward and take a nap against the frame. So it appears to me that the longer shackle will benefit me here. The good thing is that this thing has finally been able to get a break from daily driver status so it is parked until I can replace all of this.

Where to start.. what a year 2020 was for this thing. Ive done a bad job at keeping this updated, mainly posting updates to instagram now. I did all new leafs in febuary, then starting in september I tackled a head gasket that turned into quite a mess. 4 bent valves later and its back together. Then I changed out the starter.
