if you have spark, timing and compression (which you do if it runs at all) then it is a fuel supply problem. How old is your fuel pump? How old is your fuel filter? What is your fuel pressure? You could also have a wire grounding you out if the engine dies randomly.

thanks man this is what i did this morning i disconnected a hose from the intake spray carburator cleaner while starting the engine and it stayed on for as long i was spraying. so there must be something cutting the pulse to the injectors

Might be it is running off the fuel from cranking the starter but the AFM is not kicking the fuel pump on. Try the fuel pump test jumper to check that out:
- http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTri...shtml#FuelPump You need a special tool (noid light) to test the injector pulses, they are too short for most volt meters to read. |
Yep, compression, spark/timing or fuel; it'll always be one of those. Just start by eliminating one by one until you find the gremlin.
