Buddy ran 90s Acura seats in his 83. I run them now.

^^This. practically a direct bolt in, you will need to make a couple of brackets for the rear mounts- the outer front bracket is at the correct angle but offset by about 1.25" . I ran 95-96 Prelude (same as integra seats) seats in my Trekker, they are now mounted in my 94
sorry i don't have more pics but photobucket really screwed some of us long term users so i posted the two i had

I'm looking for the same thing for our '83. But, we live in the "middle-of-nowhere" and junk yards are few & far between. Plus, most are full of Big 3 pickups. Also, I want a tan color, which is likely to really affect my ability to find something used. Nothing on Craig's List or Facebook locally.

Anyway, looks like I'm likely going to buy new (shudder). Corbeau's Sport Seat looks like a good fit and their price is about $800 for a complete pair--including brackets/sliders. Corbeau says they will fit fine and there's room for a small console too. Something to be said for getting new and not having to drive all over and get dirty removing stuff in a junk yard too.

Some other buckets that may fit (?) are offered by CarID and Andy's Auto Sport, but prices seems higher once you realize you need sliders.

Happy hunting!

I scoured most of the local (few) junkyards and found that while their buckets seats are VERY cheap (like $150 per pair) compared to new ones, they are usually very old & very filthy. One of the yard workers stated that he power washes seats all the time. I also noted that many seats have cloth upholstery, and are frequently exposed to the Colorado weather due to missing doors, etc., which may mean early upholstery failure. Aside from one filthy pair from a Honda Civic that I didn't buy, I struck out (I'm also looking for tan seats to go with the rest of the interior--not many out there). I have one more bigger yard to go thru after Xmas.

I feel you pain. For many parts of the country running down to the local pick n pull for quality 80-90s parts is about done.

Totally agree! I found NO (zero, nada, zilch) Toyota trucks. Just weren't any. One 4Runner that was mostly stripped. One Celica with beautiful seats, but they were black. Momentarily I thought about changing the entire interior over to black & then reality hit. Nah--that's just too much work for a pair of bucket seats.

Find out where the SCCA guys hang out, or even the tuner crowd... they swap in racing seats all the time to their cars. I found a brand new, never even used set of Scion seats that a guy pulled because he wanted to install recaros. Got them for about $100.

I finally came across some inexpensive bucket seats from a 1994 4Runner at a junkyard. Holes in driver's side bolsters, and no matching material available, so they are being completely recovered. Will be a bit costly (about the same as aftermarket seats), but I got to choose the color of the material (whoopee!). I got the complete console from the 4Runner too. Ought to look and feel much better when I'm done with the interior--new carpet too.

Next a Weber carb and header.....
