20r Valve Adjustment

This might be a dumb question but I can't find any answers searching. When adjusting the valves on the 20r, do I use 8 degrees or 0 degrees for top dead center? You're supposed to use 8 degrees for timing, but maybe that's just for timing? Any info appreciated!

Consult the manual, or your cam specs? Zero generally, the rockers should be centered in the round section, IE fully closed valves.

TDC for valve timing. 8 degrees is for spark timing.

Thanks. The more I thought about it I realized that had to be the correct answer since spark timing is before top dead center, and you wouldn't adjust valves before TDC. Anyway, thanks again guys!
